You have to bear in mind that installing too many widgets can eat up battery life and data bandwidth. If your battery is dying faster than usual or you are on a limited data plan please take a look at how many widgets you are using and how often they are being updated.

The good news is that you can check the following list of tips to avoid loosing performance:

Use them for particular and very important things.

  • Most of the widgets are configurable, so they will let you change the update frequency (consider updating as infrequently as possible).
  • Don’t fill your home screen with unused widgets.
  • Unused widgets are easily to remove, please do it.
  • Avoid installing widgets with similar features, just pick the one you like the most.
