Master your Android Device’s plan usage limits.
3G Watchdog Widget lets you monitor your Android Internet (3G/Edge/GPRS) data usage. Apart from the Android Widget, it shows a status icon (green, orange or red depending on the data usage) in the notify bar and a detailed report page. You can set up in which percentage of your internet quota you want 3G Watchdog Widget to warn you.
How does 3G Watchdog Widget work?
First of all, you need to configure what your quota is. You can set up a daily, weekly or monthly amount of quota depending on your data plan.
3G Watchdog lets you give the proper use to your Android Widget by setting up the update frequency. You can establish the refresh rate from 30 seconds to an hour, however, the developers say that to save battery life traffic polling occurs only while you are using the mobile network. They also say that this Android Widget doesn’t drain the battery, even using it at the highest polling rate (30 secs).
You can set whether or not you want the notification icon to appear in your Android’s status bar by choosing one of the following options: Never visible, always visible or visible if 3G is active.
